C-Class Turbine/Jet Engine Components
To satisfy tight tolerances and high repeatability demanded by aerospace OEMs, Skilcraft operates a dedicated cell for manufacturing precision C-class components, primarily for turbine and jet engine components.
This cell is devoted to high precision, high mix part manufacturing and is managed to ISO 9001:2000 /AS 9100:2004 quality certifications with rigorous QC requirements within the manufacturing process. As a GE Aviation and Rolls Royce-approved supplier, our manufacturing process must pass multiple quality audits throughout the year and requires 100% part inspection.
We apply our unique expertise and extensive experience to manufacturing stainless steel and Inconel C-class components such as brackets and fixtures (non-rotating parts) used in turbines for power gen and aircraft engine parts. This includes working in 040 gauge material for aircraft and up to 1/4 inch gauge for land-based turbine systems.
Engineering Technician Supervisor
I have been at Skilcraft since April of 2000 and currently function as an Engineering Technician Supervisor. My role is to create shop drawings, laser programs, and manufacturing processes for production. I am also responsible for organizing and keeping track of all the engineering records for our Aerospace department, as well as managing our engineering software systems.
At Skilcraft, I love confronting the various challenges we encounter, and then creating solutions that allow us to overcome these obstacles.
My proudest moment at Skilcraft would have to be seeing all of the hard work that we have all put into making the Aerospace department successful. This moment was fully realized when we were rewarded with the “Partners in Growth” for NPI excellence award from General Electric, as well as the production contract for the new engine.
Outside of work I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my family. I love to play golf and try to as much as possible. I also enjoy collecting and shooting my guns.
