Hydroformed parts

Hydroforming

Hydroforming allows metal parts to be formed irregular and asymmetrical shapes that often are too difficult or even impossible to shape through traditional stamping methods. Hydroforming forces sheet metal or tubing into a specialized die mold through the application of a high-pressure liquid.

Hydroforming is a versatile process that offers many advantages beyond just the ability to form complex shapes.

It can be used on a wide variety of materials and offers a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than traditional stamped parts while typically being more lightweight. It also removes the risk of material tearing since the application applies pressure uniformly across the entire surface area, better preserving the material and providing a smoother finish.

Broad applications

Skilcraft utilizes hydroforming to produce parts that become element of an overall assembly. These specially-formed fabrications have broad applications across numerous industries, from crafting heat shields, housings and manifolds for aerospace applications to sterilizer trays and sanitary pressure pots for the medical industry.
